allison stokke pole Vaulter’s Pole Snaps During World Championships (Video)

Pole vaulting is one track and field event that rarely gets much attention, unless the lovely Allison Stokke is involved. However, the one thing (besides the gorgeous Stokke) that is capable of grabbing our attention during a pole vaulting event is the sight of a mid-air pole snap, which took place during Dmitry Starodubtsev’s attempt at the 2011 World Championships in Deagu, South Korea over the weekend.

Thankfully, Starodubtsev’s momentum landed him safely on the mat. As for his pole, it probably could have used an extra dose of Viagra on this day.
